To fulfill the goals of the Strengthening Hispanic/Latino Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, LCAT is providing leadership at the national level.

We are building infrastructure and capacity throughout Hispanic/Latino communities in order to improve tobacco prevention and control, and we are building public support for change. utilizes an array of tactics to do these things.

LCAT accomplishes our goals by organizing community members, keeping our communities informed of latest health updates, and coordinating targeted efforts, such as responses to key policies. We identifies recruits, educates and trains new leaders from across the country in the tools and skills needed to overcome the injustices endured by our communities..

In addition, we convene practitioners and advocates from across the nation annually for networking and education, and it provides the field and public with information, materials, speakers, and technical assistance.
